Pandora Internet Radio

Description:
Pandora is a music streaming and automated music recommendation service. However, this service is only available in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. Pandora plays a variety of music from a certain genre based on the user's artist selection. Pandora also allows the user to provide positive or negative feedback for each song that is chosen by the service. The service then takes the user's feedback into account when selecting future songs.
Pandora was founded by Will Glaser, Jon Kraft, and Tim Westergren. The three founders wanted to bring different styles of music together into a predictable and orderly way. They created 400 specific specifications for each song that is preferred by the listener to suggest other songs with similar characteristics. As of now, Pandora currently has over 250 million users worldwide. Pandora is available for most mobile devices and in most mobile application stores, such as the Apple iTunes Store, Google Play, Windows Mobile, and Blackberry; as well as available via Pandora.com for users using actual computers. Pandora requires users to sign up using an email address and password to use the service.
Applications:
Pandora radio is a free music streaming app. Since the app is free, you must listen and watch commercials at random times while listening to music.
Pandora basically licenses the music from the music publishers (such as ASCAP and BMI) and allows users to stream the music for free. The ads for the app then help pay for the licensing fees, as well as generate revenue for Pandora. To start listening to music, you search for different artists or genres and click on them to save them in your music section. Then, from there it plays all songs that are related to that artist or genre. For example, if you search the artist "Lil Wayne", all of the songs that will play will have Lil Wayne involved in the song or will be a song in the Hip-Hop genre. If you do not like the song that is playing you can skip it but you can only skip a song six times per hour per station and only 24 times total per day across all stations. On screen, while the music is playing, you can click on icons that will show you the lyrics, description of the song and album it was on, and links to take you to different sites to where you can purchase the song. Pandora has a great variety of music that is suitable for people of all ages.
