OVERVIEW

The Slingbox is a TV streaming device used to connect PC's and laptops to remotely view their cable or satellite using a broadband internet connection. The Slingbox was developed by Sling Media. The Slingbox connects to the TV source using one of the following: a coaxial connection, composite cables, component cables, or S-video cable to an existing internet connection. To control the Slingbox via your PC or laptop the SlingPlayer software must be installed on your machine. This software allows for the control of the channels, volume, and whatever else is needed to enjoy the experience of watching television. On April 26, 2006 Sling Media released a version of the SlingPlayer software for use on PDA's and smartphones that use Windows mobile software.
