XBOX 360


The Xbox 360 is the second video game console produced by Microsoft, and the successor to the Xbox. The Xbox 360 competes with Sony's Playstation 3 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles. Since it was unveiled to the public on May 12, 2005, Microsoft has sold tens of millions of Xbox 360s across the globe.


The XBox 360 can be used for a variety of purposes through a variety of venues. It's primary use is for entertainment, for which independent developers offer games like Call of Duty or Prince of Persia to satisfy the gamer's want. Also, the Xbox 360's hardware supports DVD movies for an added dimension of usage.

Through the games and add-ons, 360 offers the user a wide range of benefits, or ways to waste one's time. For increasing rhythmic skills, one might play Guitar Hero for 5 hours straight. Or, if the user would like to burn some calories, he/she might play Dance Dance Revolution (dance pad sold separately). Perhaps, the user would like to be in a social environment, for which Microsoft its online service: Xbox Live.

The newest feature to be welcomed into the Xbox 360 family is Kinect, a camera-based motion sensor that can be connected to the console. This new hardware will be compatible with new upcoming games that use the user's placement and actions in a room to control the movements and actions of the character(s) on the screen. Based around a webcam-style add-on peripheral for the Xbox 360 console, it enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller through a natural user interface using gestures, spoken commands, or presents objects and image
